A Stormwater Construction Permit is required when more than one (1) acre of land is being disturbed as part of any project. An example of disturbance is the footprint of a New Single-Family Home and the area of all associated site grading/construction impacts. Another example is a major, site-wide landscaping project. Please note that for some construction projects, a separate drainage report may be required in addition to a Stormwater Management Plan (SWMP). If you are unsure if your project requires a Stormwater Construction Permit, or if you have any questions about the SWMP review or implementation processes, call the Community Development Department at 303-783-2721.
To apply for this type of permit, you will need to provide the following items:
A plan review fee of $320 is required for all SWMPs. In addition to this fee, which covers the initial review time of the plan, a $300 administration fee is also due. Payment of this cumulative $620 is accepted via Xpress Bill Pay. Once your payment has been processed, enter your name and the Transaction Number of your payment in the fields below. Please note that there may be additional plan review fees owed after the review is complete and prior to the permit being considered active. A performance bond of $1,000.00 (or the actual cost of BMPs, whichever is greater) will also be due just before permit issuance (note: the bond is collected and maintained by the Public Works Department).
Once you have submitted payment and entered your XBP Transaction Number, click "Submit" to continue to file upload.
