9/11 Anniversary

Mr. Tad Willenbrock, along with his wife Betsi, who are residents of Cherry Hills Village, hosted an afternoon barbeque for personnel from the Cherry Hills Village Police Department and the South Metro Fire Department. The event was held at the Village Center and was well attended by both departments.

Mr. and Mrs. Willenbrock, along with some of their neighbors, hosted the barbeque as a way to say thank you to the police officers and firefighters who work in Cherry Hills Village. Everyone who attended was treated to slow-smoked chicken and grilled corn-on-the-cob which was expertly cooked by Tad Willenbrock who brought his own personal mobile smoker. Side dishes served up by Betsi Willenbrock included a fantastic pasta salad and numerous delectable desserts. The hospitality and generosity provided by the Willenbrock family was much appreciated by all the emergency workers who were in attendance. Many of the officers commented that it is residents like the Willenbrocks, and their friends, who make working in Cherry Hills Village such a pleasure.

The weather was perfect for this Sunday afternoon gathering and everyone enjoyed the opportunity to commemorate with each other on this tragic day in U.S. history.  The Cherry Hills Police Department and South Metro Fire Department extend their thanks and appreciation to Willenbrock family.
