Updating the Look of Our Vehicles

The old decals on the patrol vehicles endured nearly 15 years without improvements and they were becoming outdated. In mid 2005, Chief John Patterson made possible a request to update the fleet decals to a new, unique, and contemporary look.

Officer DeFelice headed the project and he created a bold sleek design. He chose high profile lettering and reflective surfaces. This will help citizens identify law enforcement vehicles and increase officer safety by making the vehicles more visible. Additionally, a higher quality material was used in the new decals for excellent durability to weather and other elements.

The style design gives the vehicle a moving appearance. The gradient red reflects the city’s theme and the gold lettering represents our high quality of service.
