The objective of the Traffic Hotline is to serve as a convenient avenue for citizens to report non-emergency traffic concerns and make requests for traffic services from the Police Department. These requests and/or reports can be anonymous in nature or citizens can provide complete contact information to us.
When reporting non-emergency traffic concerns, citizens should give a detailed description of the traffic concern, including: dates and times; contact information, if the citizen wants to be updated on the situation; and, any suggested responses from the Police Department.
Over the past year, the Traffic Hotline received nearly 100 requests for service, traffic complaints, and anonymous comments both positive and negative in nature. It has enabled the Police Department to quickly respond to citizen needs and suggestions, and also serves as a gateway to other city services via referral. This service continues to prove to be very valuable and now much more convenient.
