Initiated Charter Amendment Ballot Question

November 8, 2022 Regular Municipal Election Coordinated with Arapahoe County

On April 22, 2022 a statement of intent was filed with the City Clerk in accordance with C.R.S. §31-2-210(1) to circulate an initiative petition to place a Charter amendment on the November 8, 2022 ballot. The petition was filed with the City Clerk on July 12, 2022 and the City Clerk certified the petition to be valid and sufficient on July 20, 2022. At their August 2, 2022 meeting City Council approved Resolution 17, Series 2022 setting the ballot title and placing the measure on the ballot for the November 8, 2022 election. The following question will be on the November 8, 2022 ballot:

Shall Section 3.9 of the City of Cherry Hills Village Home Rule Charter be amended to require voter approval for the sale, vacation, or conveyance of any City property interest in any trail or open space within the City limits (excluding 90 Meade Lane, public streets, and rights-of-way) except that voter approval shall not be required for leases or licenses of less than five years that would not materially diminish the public’s opportunity to use and enjoy the property?

This will be Ballot Question 300 on the November 8, 2022 ballot.
