Recreation Reimbursement Program

Reimbursement Guidelines

The Parks, Trails and Recreation Department offers a Recreation Reimbursement Program to provide Cherry Hills Village residents reimbursement for recreation programs, activities, classes and events from public recreation providers. 

Ways to Submit

  • The deadline for recreation reimbursement requests is 4:30 PM on the second Friday in January. The deadline for 2025 reimbursements will be 4:30 PM on Friday, January 9th, 2026. 
  • Drop off your 2025 recreation reimbursement form and receipts at City Hall Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Email as one PDF (no photos) to gjoseph@cherryhillsvillage.com
  • Mail your 2025 recreation reimbursement form and receipts to City Hall, 2450 East Quincy Avenue, Cherry Hills Village, CO 80113.

Eligibility

Each primary household in Cherry Hills Village is eligible for up to a $500 maximum annual reimbursement when participating in a program, class, or activity that qualifies for reimbursement. For the purposes of this program, primary household shall mean if you own more than one home in the City, reimbursement can only be submitted for the address of the home you reside in.

To be eligible for reimbursement, activities must take place within the 7 county Denver Metropolitan area: Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas, Jefferson counties.

There are four categories eligible for reimbursement within the boundaries of eligible agencies:

SCFD (Scientific and Cultural Facilities District)

Participation in any of the cultural activities listed on the SCFD.org website. This includes Denver Zoo, Botanic Gardens, Arvada Center and more.

Municipal Golf Courses

Any municipal golf course located within the seven-county Denver metropolitan area is eligible for reimbursement. View a list of eligible municipal golf courses.

Recreation Districts

This category includes agencies such as recreation centers that are offered by a municipal or special district within the seven-county Denver metropolitan area. More information about recreation centers.

Youth Sport Organizations

This category includes non-profit, 501(c)(3) organizations such as the Colorado Storm, Littleton Soccer, baseball, hockey, lacrosse etc. More information about youth sport organizations.

Donating Your Funds

Participating residents have the option to donate all or a portion of their household’s submitted recreation reimbursement to the Cat Anderson Fund for the preservation and acquisition of open space in Cherry Hills Village. All donations are tax deductible. The City will provide a tax receipt for your donation.
