The High Line Canal will be closed between Quincy Ave. and the S. Dahlia Street bridge Jan. 8th-12th (weather permitting) for hazard tree work. Please review the map with the suggested detour.
Denver Water's tree contractor will be removing dead and diseased trees that pose a danger to trail users or neighboring properties. Most trees will be removed entirely, but some may be trimmed and left as habitat trees when appropriate. Following the closure, work will continue along the trail moving south to Belleview Ave., but the trail will remain open. (A closure is necessary in the section immediately south of Quincy Ave. because the trail through that section is too narrow to safely complete the work.) Please visit the High Line Canal Conservancy's website for canal-wide information about the entire project at www.highlinecanal.org/trees.
