Drainage Plan Requirements

Grading & Drainage Report

Any new home construction, or proposals to increase the square footage of a structure on a lot by more than 2,500 square feet of impervious surface area (structure additions, hardscapes, and pavements) is required to submit a grading and drainage report. The Village has adopted the Arapahoe County Stormwater Management Manual (PDF) for its drainage plan requirements.

Required Submissions

A Phase III drainage report should be submitted with the building permit. No building permit will be issued until the Village has reviewed and approved the grading and drainage report.

A State and City Stormwater permit, along with an SWMP, is required for any construction disturbing 1 acre or more of land.  If disturbing less than 1 acre of land, but construction is adjacent to a watercourse or wetland, then a City Stormwater permit, along with an SWMP, is required.  More information can be found here.
