Blackmer Common is 14.5 acres in size and is located off the High Line Canal Trail, southeast of the Kent Denver School. The park can be accessed from the High Line Canal Trail or the parking lot off Dahlia Street. The park is currently viewed as a passive preservation park and is mainly used by visitors to view wildlife and gain access to the Kent Denver School property.
There are a few varieties of trees, but the park is mostly landscaped with wild grasses and other native vegetation. Blackmer Common is known to be the residence of coyotes.
