Karen is new to the city, having moved here in 2021 after living in Greenwood Village for over 30 years. She was elected to the Cherry Creek Schools Board of Education in 2013, where she served as Treasurer, Vice President, and President. Karen has been a community volunteer and leader in schools and many non-profits, and she is currently a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) serving Arapahoe, Douglas, Elbert, and Lincoln counties. Her professional career was in corporate lending and debt restructuring in Dallas, TX and Denver. Karen and her husband Bill have 6 grown children and 3 grandchildren.
