Citizens Local Government Academy

The City is excited to offer a Citizens Local Government Academy in September 2025! In this free program Cherry Hills Village residents learn how their City works, main functions and departments, how tax dollars are spent, and what staff does to keep the City a safe, serene, low-density residential community.

Applicants must be current residents of Cherry Hills Village and must commit to attend all three sessions:

  • Wednesday September 10th 6-8pm at City Hall: 1st session: Administration, Finance (Budget, Long Range Financial Plan), and Community Development (Master Plan, Zoning) 
  • Wednesday September 17th 6-8pm at City Hall: 2nd session: Police Department and South Metro Fire Rescue
  • Thursday September 25th 6-8pm at City Hall: 3rd session: Public Works (Streets and Parks, Water and Sewer)
